Yoga is a practice which has the ability to transform your life and give you a greater sense of awareness of your mind and body. Yoga entered my life as a college student at UCLA. Growing up in Phoenix, Arizona, I performed with a professional dance company around the country but after many years of training my body was in need of some healing. It was in the World Arts & Cultures program where I was introduced to the practice of yoga and instantly became hooked on all the physical and mental benefits it provided.
After graduation, I enrolled in a teacher-training program with Jay Co at the Yoga Collective in Santa Monica as a way to deepen my understanding of the practice. Since then, it's been a blessing to teach at various studios in LA, while traveling abroad with established yogis all over the world. Yoga has filled my life life with an abundance of love, joy and gratitude. Teaching is just one way for me to share that passion for yoga with you and those in the community.
My classes are taught in a Vinyasa style accessible for all levels with the option for advance variations. Vinyasa yoga fuses movement with the breath in a dynamic flow sequence. Come to class with an open mind and willingness to play through the poses in a way suitable, yet challenging for your body. The intention is to emphasize the importance of moving through each pose with mindfulness, all the while focusing on the breath to remain calm and present in the moment. Each class is an opportunity to become a little more open, a little more aware of how your mind and body are interconnected. I invite you to come explore and enjoy what the practice has to offer you today.
