Virginia is a kind, devoted and passionate yogini who feels her purpose as a teacher is to help bring this transformational practice of yoga into each student’s lives. Her classes are well rounded, delivering a good balance of strength and play: dynamic sequencing delivered with detailed instruction and a mindful softness, along with a keen eye on proper alignment.
Regardless of what level a student may be at, Virginia makes the class accessible and fun. She cares about her students on many levels, and likes to encourage them to challenge themselves, allowing them to receive all of the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of this amazing practice. Virginia is a warm and engaging teacher who will guide each student on his or her journey.
Being a long time devoted yogini before teaching; Virginia began her practice at this very studio nearly 8 years ago. “Power Yoga has always been such an important place in my life. It was here that as a beginner, I unrolled my mat for the first time. Returning back to this space as a teacher is not only a magnificent milestone in my life, but shows how devoted and transformational this practice can really be,” It was a profound experience that set her on course to become a yoga instructor and share this passion of yoga with others.
Virginia is a 500-hour certified Yoga Alliance teacher with training from Yogaworks, Santa Monica, CA. She also carries additional training in children’s yoga, as well as Restorative and Meditation. She has been enormously enriched by the tutelage of teachers such as Annie Carpenter, Jeanne Heileman, Kia Miller, Jerome Mercier and Lisa Walford and many many more. Additionally, she also teaches children’s yoga classes throughout Los Angeles, and currently teaching at Yogaworks/Southbay and Westwood studios.
